FAQ - 2nd CHANCE SCHOLARSHIP
The recipients of RCoMH scholarships will each be awarded amounts up to a combined total of $6,000. These scholarships will be in the form of single year grants that are not renewable.
Yes, a check will be given to the winning applicant.
Fill out the application form and submit it with a copy of your academic transcripts. Be sure to complete the application sections outlining your community service activities and a brief essay stating why you should be considered.
The Enhanced Scholarship uses several factors to determine eligibility.
- A graduating senior of Marblehead High School or another high school and who is a resident of Marblehead.
- The graduate intends to pursue a degree from an accredited college, university or vocational school beginning the following semester.
- Consideration is given to your community service activities.
- Children and grand-children of Rotarians are not eligible to apply.
Submit your application within 60 days of the first Monday in April.

Finalists may be asked to meet with the scholarship committee to review the applicant's information.
Yes, and you will receive a letter in early April of each year describing the reapplication process which will take into account grade point average, behavior and community service.
You will need to provide a transcript, evidence that you will carry a full course load, a letter from your school stating that you are not on any academic or social probation, and a statement of your community service activities.
The 2nd Chance Scholarship will pay the tuition for one course, up to a maximum of $2,500 paid to the institution.
No, the scholarship is paid directly to the educational institution.
